SENIOR INFO
Outside of the School Counseling Office is a huge wall of important info for you to check out from time to time with scholarship information, college visit dates, and testing information.
Please become familiar with this area so you don’t miss out on something you are specifically interested in. You will have many Scholarship opportunities throughout the year. The major Scholarships are:
- Lilly (Mid August)
- Decatur County Community Foundation (early January)
- Locals (early March) will be announced when they become available
However, there are many others that will be posted on the Scholarship Board and School Counseling website (Scholarship Information) as they become available.
WHAT SENIORS NEED TO DO
APPLY TO SCHOOL(S)
- Apply to School Choices Now – Nov. 1st (November 1st is the DEADLINE)
- Kick off to COLLEGE GO! Week: September 23-27th.... Apply during this time and have application fees waived at selected Indiana schools. Check with our school counseling department for a list of participating post secondary institutions.
APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID
File the FAFSA – Free Application for Federal Student Aid starting Oct. 1st (March 1st Student Aid Report)

report comes back to student to verify all information submitted on FAFSA is correct

establishes an EFC = Expected Family Contribution

EFC is a constant, no matter where the student plans to attend school
