GCHS ACADEMICS
Welcome to Greensburg Community High School, home of the Pirates! We run on an 8 block schedule where classes meet every other day for 90 minutes. GCHS offers a wide variety of classes with highlights below.

Advanced Placement Classes in English, Chemistry, Biology, Statistics, Calculus, U.S. History, World History, 2-D Studio Art, and 3-D Studio Art.

Project Lead the Way Classes in Introduction to Engineering Design, Principles of Engineering, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Principles of Biomedical Sciences, and Human Body Systems.

Dual Credit Class Offerings high school classes offered for dual credit through IVY Tech and numerous other dual credit classes available through the Greensburg Community Learning Center link to several colleges and universities.

Vocational and Agricultural Department GCHS and the surrounding community has devoted over $2 million to a new vocational wing including the reintroduction of the agriculture program. Students will receive hands-on-experiences that can lead to work-based-learning opportunities with local businesses.

Television Studio High definition equipment for radio and TV broadcasting classes and for GTV, our Greensburg Television Station, on Channel 9 or Channel 609 on ETC cable. Find GTV also on YouTube.

Achievement School and Credit Recovery Computer driven programs enable students to earn credit in an alternative setting or to participate in remediation to improve standardized test scores.

Algebra I for Mastery Algebra I taught in quarter modules.
GRADUATE / POST GRADUATE STATISTICS
Approximately 71% of GCHS graduates attend post-graduate programs. The Class of 2020 was awarded $2,642,988 in awards, grants and scholarships, 227,536 from local organizations and $2,415,452 from post-secondary education institutions.
GCHS ATHLETICS
Greensburg Community High School is a member of the Indiana High School Athletic Association and the Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference.
CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
There are many clubs and organizations at GCHS. It is hoped that all students are active participants in our school culture.
